9 Keto Fat Bombs to Satisfy Your Cravings

When I started keto,¬†these keto fat bombs were a life saver. The sugar cravings that first week were intense. Going through a sugar withdrawal can be murder. It’s hard not to cave in and eat things you normally wouldn’t. I don’t eat sugar cereals, but Captain Crunch was calling out to me! Loudly…

Fat bombs not only gave me a creative “baking” outlet, they were heaven to my taste buds. Switching from eating sugar and relying on it for energy to eating more fat is a process. Providing your body with the fat it needs to start converting you metabolic state over to burning ketones is vital.

These yummy little blobs of fat are a great way to get extra fat into your diet without feeling overwhelmed by the process. The only trick is keeping the kids out of them…just kidding. I encourage my kids to eat them. It just means I have to make more!

As you adapt to the ketogenic lifestyle you may find that you don’t need to make fat bombs as frequently. Use them as you need them, and don’t forget about them if you start to slip back into the habit of reaching for carbs when you need something quick and easy.

Cheesecake Fat Bombs

Chocolate is usually my sweet treat of choice. But there is just something about cheesecake that gets me! After the delivery of my son, the first thing I asked for was a strawberry cheesecake blizzard from Dairy Queen. It’s a good thing my sis worked there. She ran down and made me one ūüôā

Peanut Butter Cup Fat Bombs

This fat bomb combines two of my favorite things. Peanut butter and chocolate. When I was little my dad would hand me a spoon with peanut butter on it for a snack. As I got older I would mix it with chocolate chips. Then Nutella¬†made it to American¬†grocery shelves and it became an even better “spoon snack”.

Cookies and Cream Fat Bombs

Cookies and cream bring to mind cookies and milk. The perfect after-school snack when you were a kid. Or a treat while you were watching Saturday morning cartoons (I think I just dated myself right there).

Now you can have cookies and cream that are healthy and don’t really include cookies. How’s that possible? Check out these yummy treats to find out:

Cream Cheese Dark Chocolate Fudge Bombs

Christmas at my grandma’s house always meant there would be loads of fudge on the dessert table. It’s a weakness. I can resist most sugary things, but if there is a piece of fudge on a candy platter, you can bet it will be in my mouth within moments!

The dark chocolate in this recipe covers up the flavor of the cream cheese a little more. That’s okay since fudge really isn’t supposed to taste like cheesecake.
